I cannot believe that I will be at the #JungleBookEvent in less than a week!! The countdown to my Jungle Book Red Carpet event has begun! I have been emotionally exploding ever since I first received the official invite to participate in this exclusive blogger event:
Due to your on-going support of this educational blog, I will be representing Debtfreespending.com in L.A. to promote Disney’s The Jungle Book (April 15th release). Thank you for continuing to return and read our blog.
What would you be most excited about:
- Participating in The Jungle Book Premiere, and watching the movie
- Watching The Jungle Book
- Watching The Jungle Book in LA, with celebrities
- Walking the red carpet
- Interviewing director Jon Favareau
- Interviewing 12-year old new-comer, Neel Sethi/Mowgli
Well, there’s more!! Other pieces of our press junket include:
- More Jungle Book interviews with: Lupita Nyong’o (voice of “Raksha”), Sir Ben Kingsley (voice of “Bagheera”) and Giancarlo Esposito (voice of “Akela”)!
- Sneak Peek of the Disney XD new series, “Walk the Plank”.
We will have a special screening of this hilarious new hidden camera-practical joke series “Walk the Prank.” The show is live-action scripted comedy interspersed with fully produced unscripted pranks. An ensemble cast plan and execute funny over-the-top pranks for an online hidden camera show. Then we will be transported to Paramount Studios to view production for an upcoming episode and interview members of the “Walk the Prank” cast.#WalkthePrank
How exciting is that itinerary???
Among all the extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime experience coming up, the Red Carpet is one of my TOP. Why is the red carpet such a big deal to me?
I am an avid movie-fan and critic, since around the age of 10. The movie industry red carpet is traditionally used to mark the ceremonial and formal occasion, of the first showing of a movie. In recent decades, VIPs and celebrities are often in attendance to support the cast, crew and fans of the motion picture. In my previous single-20s-living in NYC days, one of the positions I held was with Sony Entertainment. Movie premieres were almost weekly, but “Royal Red Carpet” (as I call them) affairs were rare. I had the privilege of attending the ‘Remains of the Day’ event in 1993 and will never forget being the presence of: Sir Anthony Hopkins, Emma Thompson, and Christopher Reeve (right before his horrendous accident).
Now, decades later, I will actually be walking on the red carpet and not just watching from the side-lines. Apart from anticipating WHO I will see in-person at this event, I decided to take full advantage of the rare occasion and purchase the perfect dress. Here is a sneak peek of the gorgeous Jovani gown:
