If you want to bring the most delicious dessert to every party, you’ve just found it! I have fallen in LOVE with my trifle bowl, and we have been making this recipe in a dish for a long time, but I LOVE it in the trifle bowl! It also looks so elegant with the chocolate shavings! I tweaked the original recipe to have a little more vanilla AND so that I could put it in a trifle bowl! You can also substitute ANY of the Mars Bites Candies instead of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!
Tools:
- Trifle Bowl
- cheese grater to make chocolate shavings
Ingredients:
- (1) 9×13 box of brownies
- 1 box of instant vanilla pudding
- 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3C milk
- 3/4 C peanut butter
- (1) 8oz. container of whipped topping
- 10.5 oz. bag of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (regular sized)
- Chocolate Shavings to garnish (we had melting chocolate we used for this, but you may need to buy a Hershey’s chocolate bar to shave).
Directions:
1. Cook brownies as per box directions and let cool.
2. Crumble the peanut butter cups
2. Combine milk and pudding in a bowl and beat until well blended. Add other ingredients (minus whipped topping) until well blended. Fold in 1/2 whipped topping.
3. Layer the following in the trifle bowl: 1/2 brownies, 1/2 pudding, and do this again. Top with the rest of the whipped topping).

I have had this recipe twice now, and it is yummy! The second time I added 8oz of cream cheese to the pudding mixture, and it was better. I still feel, though, that it is a little runny. Next time I will either decrease the milk (more likely) or add another box of pudding (less likely). I just love love love the chocolate/peanut butter flavor combination!! Thanks for a delicious recipe!
