I am a huge petroleum jelly fan, and use it regularly for many things, so I was so excited to write this post for our readers.
1. Use as lip gloss/therapy. I use my finger to just dab a little on my lips.
2. For chapped hands: rub over hands and put on socks overnight. They will be super smooth in the morning!
3. For chapped feet: rub over feet and put on socks overnight. Same as above!
4. Nose- apply a small amount inside each nostril when sore.
5. Wind or razor burn- apply to the affected area.
6. Use as a moisturizer for dry elbows.
7. Apply to cracked heels (Use socks as noted above).
8. When painting fingernails, apply a small amount to cuticles and this will help keep pain on the nail only.
9, Rub a small amount on eyebrows to keep them in place.
10. Use it to remove a ring that is too tight.
11. Keep squirrels out of bird feeders by applying to pole.
12. Apply a small amount to battery terminals to keep them from corroding (my father-in-law taught me this one!)
13. When painting, apply to areas where you don’t want to paint. Wait until the paint around it dries, then wipe it away (along baseboards, door hinges, etc.)
14. Apply to tough zippers to keep them from sticking or getting caught.
15. Rub over a new tattoo before getting in the shower!
16. Mix with Kool-Aid powder to make a flavored/tinted lip gloss.
17. Rub onto pet paws that are cracked.
18. Apply to areas of the body where you want perfume fragrance to last before you spray onto skin.
19. Apply to eyelids before eye shadow to make it a creamy texture.
20. Apply a small amount to shoes to bring back their shine.
21. Apply to threads of plumbing fixtures for an easier fit.
22. Apply a small amount to light bulb threads to make them easier to screw into fixtures.
23. Apply a small thin layer to rubber seals on refrigerator to create a better seal.
24. Apply a small thin layer to the top of pet bowls to eliminate ants.
25. Apply a small amount to hairline before using dye to prevent forehead stains.
***NOTE: People who use oxgyen tanks should NOT use petroleum jelly as a lubricant. It is HIGHLY flammable!
