good list. I would add:
* sunglasses: can’t beat $1, and mine always last for ages! Usually till they get lost… (I borrowed someone’s more expensive sunglasses one day, and they broke! I’ll stick with cheap. even if only one summer…they’ve paid for themselves)
* those “magic” knit gloves. rarely see them cheaper, and they’re nice on a chilly fall day, for kids. Also plenty of pinterest crafts.
* seasonal socks–for kids or crafts, or stocking stuffers
* novelty bandaids…the selection can change, but if you have a little one at the “bandage fixes everything” stage, these are great.
*sudoku or wordsearch puzzle books, coloring books for kids…best prices, again.
* nail polish…just last week I saw “Sinful Colors” brand there. Also especially handy if you have young ones who love to play with polish. Sometimes you can also find the Deco style bottles with the super narrow brushes.
* batteries. our $Tree has a couple different brands of alkalines. never had a problem with them yet. (haven’t done a side by side with the expensive alkalines for length of charge)
saw this post on pinterest, btw.

Thanks Robin!
GREAT ideas!!!
Great tips. Plus, they accept coupons, so you can get toothpaste and hand soap for free!
Thanks for the great tips, I love this!
These are great things to get there! I just discovered their glassware today, as a matter of fact. I wanted to get a coffee mug for my son’s teacher, and went there in hopes they had one. They had many, many kinds and they are really cute! So surprised and happy! I also ended up buying soup bowls. They are thick, deep, and has fall colors. I can’t believe they are only $1 each!

Thanks again!
I try not to buy candy anywhere!!!! Ice cream – that’s where I break down.Ha! My husband would definitely Amen this list. I’ll include hangers which is what I forgot to pick up this week.
Just went there today to get bread! 😉
Wow I never knew about the balloons! I will definitely have to remember that one. I love your idea about the house warming gift. I used to always buy my spices there. I must get back into the habit of going again!
I’ve always been a BIG fan of shopping at the Dollar Tree and this just confirms it! I love this list and just pinned it for future reference. Thanks! (visiting from 3 boys and a Dog)
Nice list! I’ve also found good deals on bar soap there every once in a while–Yardley’s or Pure & Natural or other quality brands. You do have to look carefully at the quality of dollar store items, but you can get some great stuff there. I still have dishes and wooden spoons I bought in dollar stores 20+ years ago.
Great list! I forget about how fun the dollar tree is until I go in there. We’re coming up on Christmas now so I know I’ll use it for little gifts and decorations. Thanks for sharing with Motivational Monday!
Thanks so much ladies! I’m a huge Dollar Tree fan (as you can see) and am grateful they exist, or I’d be spending a lot more on tons of items!
I shop the dollar stores for a lot of things…Big Lots is my fav for spices…Dollar General is best for cards..love love love the Dollar Tree dishes. Thanks so much for all the tips.
I just picked up my wall calendars for 2015! 🙂 Lesser quality paper but it just hangs on the wall!
Reading glasses! They cost $20 or so at other stores and much more from the actual eye doctors office.
So excited!!
