The tip that helped me the most is when you bring in the mail, sort it in front of your paper recycle can and only give yourself 5 minutes to do this. Paper is my enemy!

My favorite tip was the questions for getting rid of unnecessary clothes. I never thought of it that way. I liked it, so I kept it. All of it!

Making your bed every day. I hardly do it, but when I do, its refreshing to jump into a neat bed.

Thx for the giveaway! A great card to win!
I was glad to see that many of these tips I’m already doing! I think the tip that helped me the most was closet organizing. I have a lot of trouble getting rid of clothes and many of excuses for not doing it. These questions particularly struck me:
Will it fit before it goes out of style?
Am I likely to wear it this season?
And, I also have never done the color blocking. Will try that.
Keep only the important mail, like bills, medical papers and keep
them organized.
Color block your clothing
The “When MAIL is your nightmare: ( and a time thief )” really spoke to me. Mail has been a time thief for me for most of my adult life. I have already been making end runs to stop avoiding what comes in the mail–namely bills–so, keeping this in mind, this is a useful tip.
The stuff on organizing the closet. Mine is a total disaster and I really should put these in practice before someone gets buried.
I like to use woven baskets and put them on shelves to hide clutter. looks nice and you can use any color to decorate with.
liked the tip about cleaning the clothing closet…
The tip on sorting the mail
it sais to click here to leave a blog post- when i do it asks for information and a mobile number to post a comment there- i dont have a cell phone so i cant post there. so heres my tip- i keep 1/2 gallon clean plastic milk jugs full of water in the deep freezer- i place 1 in the frig to help the frig cool without using more electricity, when it thaws i put it in the freezer and place a frozen one back in the frig- i actually put 2 or 3 at a tiime in during the hot Missouri summers.
The tip that helped me the most is to sort the mail in front of your paper recycle can as soon as you bring it in and take 5 minutes to do this. This is my biggest problem. I am really bad about just piling my mail up. Thank you for sharing!
closet organizing, i have a big walk in closet and i just throw things in and getting rid of clothes i dont wear. it is hard, b/c some are almost new, but i dont wear suits anymore…..i have to take early retirement abt 11 yrs ago to care for my mother….. so i have all of these new suits, dress shoes, etc. that i have not worn in yrs.
the best tip for me was getting rid of junk mail,as soon as you get it
I learned — Sheets and towels that sit, tend to soar. Bleach will not remove this odor, one cup of white distilled vinegar added to a load of laundry will.
Makeup drawer tip! Thanks!
Give yourself the gift of one finished task, every day. Such great advice because when you accomplish a project you feel fulfilled and good and it keeps it going!
When mail is your nightmare – I need to follow these ideas and sort my mail as soon as I get it. I realized lately that I have mail everywhere (ugh)! I will work on that this week. Also… Give your clothing closet an easy face lift – I need to do this and actually started a bit a few weeks ago, just got distracted and haven’t gone back to it. But once that is one, my goal was always to get our closet better organized (or room in general, so easy to focus on the kids and every other room of the house and not our room!)
Could really use closet help in this house. Tiny closets here.
Just what I am working on. Getting organized!! Thanks
liked the tip about mail most! Better to deal with it immediately than piles of paper everywhere!
organizing my mail is sometimes a daunting task and ends up being mostly junk mail..so this was a good tip
I love the tips on getting my mail under control!! It’ll be so much better to spend 5 minutes a day rather than an hour on Sundays just to sort through mostly junk mail!
the mail tip is good for me
The tip I liked most is to go through everything and donate what you don’t want that can be donated and throw away the things you know you can’t donate but don’t want. This is something I already make a point to do anyways so I love this tip.
the mail tip is a good one for me!!! thanks!
All the tips were helpful especially the mail tip. I find I always end up with piles of mail everywhere.
Thanks for the mail sorting tip! My desk thanks you too!!
Dealing with the mail right away
The bed making…Love a nice made bed to get into at night
The tip about keeping only 2 sets of sheets per bed and that they ‘sour’. It’s hard to let go of sheets..and blankets.
I’m going to say the mail tip will help me the most. That is the one that I’m going to start with anyway…. 🙂
The tip that helped me the most was, making your bed everyday:)
I like the tip about sorting mail by the garbage can or shredder helping to eliminate unwanted/needed mail.
Organizing my closet
I like the idea of having my daughter help put away her toys at the end of the day.
Love this! Thank you!
the article got me motivated!i started in my bathroom, organized my bath products, you wouldnt belive how much there was! then on to the make up. lots of great tips there, that was my fave. thanks!!
sorting your mail tip!
The tip with the mail. Too many times I stack it all somewhere and then I have a large pile to deal with and a harder time finding what I need. Tomorrow will be a good day to start this . Hopefully it will lead me to the next project.
I liked the ‘Clean your makeup drawer’ tip. I REALLY need to do this!
The best advice is to make the bed.
