Disneyland is celebrating sixty years of immersive storytelling and entertainment technology, and has brought exciting attractions and inventive entertainment to life for guests from around the world.
Walt Disney had a dream, to create an environment where creativity, imagination and innovation could develop and soar as high as the sky. Walt Disney believed that:
Disneyland will never be completed.
It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.

We were specially invited to California, to join in the festivities surrounding this monumental occasion.
During lunch, we were treated to a visit from a few very special guests:
Mickey, Minnie and Goofy were all decked out in their special 60th Anniversary garb, and we had exclusive photos taken with them.
Original artwork was sketched during our meal, and then those pieces were raffled off to guests.
All around us, the air was buzzing as we were surrounded by artwork, artifacts and Pixie Dust.
Even our lunch was magical!
Our sandwiches arrived within a three-tiered diamond!
As we dined, Professional Tour Guides shared historic and entertaining facts about Disneyland park, and the man behind the magic: Walt Disney.
Following lunch, we were ushered around the park with the dazzling Tour Guides.
First Stop: Tomorrowland

Several places in the park were used in the making of this wonderful family action/adventure movie.
Here, you see our gorgeous guides showing us the piece from the Worlds Fair.
It was surreal being in the same space from scenes in the movie.
Next, we were taken to the real boat that was used to transport the characters from one place in time – to Tomorrowland in the future.
This set from the movie was saved just for our visit! Our group took pictures, behind the private and exclusive roped off area.
Can you recognize the location behind us?
That’s right! We were located right next to the classic ‘Its a Small World’ ride.
Our distinguished group was shown to the front of the line, so we could experience the ride and enjoy a trip around the world in true Disney fashion!
‘Its a Small World’ melodically danced around us, as children sang in their native tongues: English, Japanese, French and many many more.
If you look closely, you might even spot some popular characters, like Nemo!
Next, as we were escorted around the park, there were other fun surprises to see:

At one point, I was rudely pushed aside, by none other than Cruella DeVille! She waved her hand at me, and demanded that I “get out of her way!” I wasn’t able to capture that moment to share. Ha ha ha.
We spent the next several hours hopping on as many rides as we could muster.
Some rides required a Fast Pass for quick entry.
When the lights went down, our evening was topped off with the most incredible, spectacular, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious firework and LED parade that I have ever seen!
The Disneyland Diamond Celebration illuminates the park with a vibrant new parade that creates a river of color flowing down Main Street with more than 1.5 million brilliant LED lights and an array of Disney characters.

Fun Facts:
- The Tinker Bell float is 40 feet long. It has 44 universes of controls and, more than 850,000 points of light (including video screens).
- This “Paint the Night” parade was a three-year process for the design and technical teams. This is the very first parade to be lit almost entirely by LED lights.
- The Monsters, Inc. float has five animated doors that are just over 9 feet tall, and has nearly 17,000 points of light.
We had such an incredible day at Disneyland!
And I came home with a few momentos!
This adventure at Disneyland was a once in a lifetime experience.
