We have an expression around our house when one of us is hungry and angry at the same time. We call it being “hangry.” Unfortunately, this happens more than you think! Sometimes you just have to make a quick stop and get some fuel, and today was one of those days! Hubby and I had a date day without the kids and had about 100 errands! Ok, so maybe 100 is exaggerating, but there wasn’t much relaxation time! Today it was a SNICKERS® to the rescue! Family Dollar was our first stop, and neither of us had eaten lunch at this point! We had to get Nana a birthday card, because she will be 97 years young this week! We knew we still had to go to the post office and stop by a friend’s house, so we were starving.
When hubby gets hangry, his ugly side comes out and he’s just not himself! This is pretty much how he felt and was acting by the time we made it to the store!
They had SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Squares and SNICKERS® Almond bars by the checkout, but they also had fun size bags in the candy aisle too!
By the time we got to the car, I already had the SNICKERS® Almond bar out of the bag and started unwrapping it for hubby!
Within seconds he was starting to come “off the ledge” as we call it in our house! I knew that he just needed a little something to eat to bring his blood sugar back up and get something in his belly!
Ahhhh! Much better!
I knew as soon as I saw the smile on his face everything was going to be ok! LOL
We also bought some extras to take home too! Who says you have to be starving to have a treat! Next time we won’t wait so long before grabbing one of these!
