Check out our awesome Minions piñata. To say that I’m a Minion fan would be an understatement. I love the Minions movie, and I couldn’t wait for the Minions movie metal pack to be released in the stores. You can snag your own Minions movie metal pack at Target right now, and you will even get a $5 Target gift card bonus. Remember to use your Target Red Card and snag 5% off your order in-store or online and get free shipping if you order online. We’re even going to teach you how to make your own Minions piñata and the Minions movie metal pack comes with a bonus DVD that you can use to plan your own Minions movie night party supplies that include mask invitations, goody bags, and more.
In our Target store, they were located at the back of the store in the movies aisle, but they were also up front on a carousel at checkout.
This movie contains 40 minutes of Target Exclusive bonus content, and the metal pack is actually an exclusive product to Target only. There are also many other Minions stocking stuffers items (clothes, books, toys, and more) you can grab while you’re at Target too, so you have less stops to make while checking things off your Christmas to-do list.
There is a bonus DVD that shows you how to make all the party supplies for your Minions movie night. We didn’t follow the piñata directions exactly, but I think ours turned out absolutely perfect.
How to Make Your Minions Piñata
Supplies you will need:
- one balloon
- flour
- water
- bowl
- strips of newspaper
- canning jar lids
- paint (yellow, black, blue, white, brown)
Minion Piñata Directions:
- Blow up large balloon.
- Mix 4 cups with 1/2 gallon of water (if should be the consistency of a creamy soup), so you may need to add more/less water.
- Cut strips of newspaper.
- Saturate newspaper strips (one-by-one) in flour mixture and apply to balloon along the length of the balloon at first, but then in a criss-cross pattern, ensuring that you are covering the entire balloon.
- Allow covered balloon to dry overnight.
6. Once the balloon is completely covered and the newspaper has dried, pop the balloon by placing a small hole in the bottom of the balloon (this is where you will insert the candy), and then remove the balloon.
7. Find scrap cardboard or break down a large cardboard box, and roll it along the natural contour of the box and work to fit it around the piñata. Once you have it formed to your liking, hot glue the cardboard to the piñata.
8. Cut out extra cardboard pieces to look like the straps of the minion’s clothing.
9. Use paper towel rolls (you may need to slightly cut these) for the arms and secure these with the hot glue gun.
10. Begin painting the pants blue, the minion yellow, and the arms yellow as well.
11. Assemble all of the painted parts to the piñata and add the canning lids for the eyes with hot glue as well.
12. Don’t forget to paint his eyes!
13. Remember to add black cardboard straps for the goggles as well.
14. Insert the candy and place duct tape over the hole in the bottom of the piñata.

How much fun to create a minions pinata for a movie night. That would be a blast (literally?) to get some of the wiggles out before the movie and then have their snacks/treats right there. #client
