Meet LOU: Pixar’s new heartfelt short

Who is LOU? LOU is the newest Pixar animated short character who has completely stolen my heart. You can see him in theaters today.

This year, Pixar selected LOU as the ‘appetizer’ to their new summer blockbuster, Cars 3. What did you think of the sneak peek clip above? Did you already find yourself connecting with one of the children on the playground? The creators at Pixar focus on story telling and strive to inspire genuine feeling from the audience.

MEET LOU — When a toy-stealing bully ruins recess for a playground full of kids, only one thing stands in his way: the “Lost and Found” box. As much as I found myself honestly captivated by this short, I was much more entertained by my family, friends and the entire audience in the theater. Hearing them giggle, sigh, and even choke on their tears, is evidence enough of the talent within Pixar. Everyone of every age responded to LOU, with their own personal emotional journey.

Make sure to head out to the theater to catch LOU, and Pixar’s favorite race car, #95 “Lightning McQueen” in theaters everywhere in CARS 3.
