Our family welcomed Kaylleigh (My new niece) into the world last night around 11p.m.! I have two little sisters who are fairly younger (13 and 16 years younger), and it was always fun to dress them up. It was like having real life baby dolls! LOL I was so excited when my dad remarried and I knew I was going to get to be a sister!
My youngest sister just graduated from high school and my other sister turned 21 this summer, and now she is a new momma! So, we are praising God today for our family’s new blessing! A.J. wasn’t too happy that he couldn’t go back and visit (only 12 and older can be in the rooms), but we told him he would get to see her very soon! Here is Adam with Kaylleigh! He’s a natural with kids! 🙂
I also wanted to introduce everyone to my mom. She is the lovely lady behind the scenes doing some of our match-ups each week! She is so faithful to help EVERY week, and I just feel like I owe her so much gratitude for helping! She spends hours working on the match-ups, and doesn’t ask for a dime! She and my hubby are both nurses, and I think that’s just their natural caring nature! 🙂 She deserves kudos after having her gastric bypass surgery two years ago. She has lost over 150 pounds! Craziness!
Many of you who have been readers since before Christmas know that my dad had his right leg amputated due to a blood clot in his leg at a stent (+diabetes complications). He’s doing much better now, and for a while it was touch and go, since he had infection in his limb. However, he just had a great report from the doctor last week, and we’re so excited that he can go off the antibiotics now! He’s lost so much weight, we actually weigh the same amount! For the first time in my life, my parents and I all weigh the same! LOL
Thank you so much for all of your kind words during that difficult time! It meant so much to know we had fan support, and also for understanding those times when we couldn’t blog as much! (I’m SO excited Jen is on board now, because she has definitely been a HUGE HELP at making sure we get deals to our readers!). Well, enough rambling for now! As always, I hope that you are continually blessed by DFS as much as we are blessed by all of you!
XOXO

I love that you share your family with us! It’s always nice to see who I am reading!! I had a gastric bypass and like your mom, I lost 150 lbs (but gained 50 due to 2…unforeseen pregnancies LOL) I’m so happy that her surgery was a success! Your mom is a sweetheart to put so much of her time into helping others with finding savings! Thank you for taking the time to share it all with us! =)
