You know we often have finance posts, and this is one topic we haven’t addressed yet. However, after my dad lost his leg to Peripheral Artery Disease and Diabetes complications last fall, this is something we have had to deal with in our family. Sometimes life throws a curve ball at you, and medically some people really can’t work. It’s tough to know if you qualify, and many times you are denied the first time. Sometimes it helps to have someone walk you through the process, and I know our family was very grateful for this help, and my dad did receive benefits in the end. However, he still has to wait a year for health benefits. 🙁
