I know I said DIY Foaming Hand soap was super easy, but this is even EASIER! To make homemade Fabric Softener Crystals you simply add 30-40 drops of essentail oils to either Epsom Salt, Coarse Sea Salt, or Coarse Kosher Salt as well!! I used the whole container of Coarse Kosher Salt ot the 30-40 drops of essentails oils! Since Purex Crystals are SOOO expensive (even though I usually buy them on BOGO with a coupon), I still think this is a GREAT way to save money if your store doesn’t run BOGO’s on them that often!!
Ingredients:
- 1 box/bag of Epsom Slat, Coarse Sea Salt, or Coarse Kosher Salt
- 30-40 drops of essentail oil of your choice (Lavendar is a VERY nice smell!)
Directions:
- Mix salt and essentail oils, and store

could you just use lavender scented Epsom salt from the dollar tree? Do you add it to the water or where the water softner liquid goes?
Mom in High Heels
How do you use these? How much do you use?
Steph
@Heather, yes, as long as your washer supports it, which it should, and be careful of any other ingredients they put in the Dollar Tree epsom salt. @Mom in High Heels, I use about 1/4 C! 🙂
Ashley
Can you use regular scented Epsom salt without having to add the essential oils to make the crystal softener? Or do you have to add the essential oils?
