This recipe is soooo yummy! My three tips are: use REAL butter, don’t use Non-Fat Cream Cheese, and make sure your confectioners sugar is fresh!! Yes, we learned the hard way the first time!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 (8 oz.) block of cream cheese, softened
3/4 C confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup mini chocolate chips (set aside 1/4 C to sprinkle on Top)
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.
2. Blend in brown sugar, and stir until mixture starts to bubble.
3. Add vanilla then set aside until cool.
4. Blend cream cheese and confectioners sugar in another bowl. Use a hand mixer (low speed) to add in butter and brown sugar.
5. Add chocolate chips.
6. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
7. Serve with Teddy Grahams, Vanilla Wafers, Animal Crackers, etc.
