In case you haven’t heard, hubby and I are expecting our second child, but this is our first pregnancy. Our son was adopted 8 years ago from Guatemala, so this has been a huge change for our family! However, I’m trying to stay very healthy between working full-time as a teacher, blogging full-time, and running a ministry at our church!
I don’t know what I’d do without my new phone, because I’m using all the various apps and my calendar to track workouts, baby development, and schedules.
Each week my phone app includes a video about my baby’s development! It’s amazing, and I can watch it right from my phone! We showed my son this video below, and he became much more excited about becoming a brother once he understood the process!
I’m also walking everyday with the MapMyRun App! I’ve decided not to jog right now, because I’m exhausted most days and just don’t want to overdo it! It not only tracks my distance, but I can also directly share my day’s exercise on Facebook. It racks my distance and my calories for me, which really helps me know how much exercise I’m getting each day. I LOVE this app, and it’s by far my favorite, because I’m not a “Group Exerciser” as I call them. I’m the type of person who just wants to exercise by myself while listening to my own music! I don’t like being around others while I work-out, because that’s my time to chill and relax!
My mom and I were talking about how different pregnancy is today in relation to technology and how even getting healthy or in shape has become easier with the help of technology! There are so many neat apps out there to help you get healthy, and I often use my FitBit (You have to have the FitBit Device to go with this app) in conjunction with MyFitenessPal to track calories and track steps as well.
We also have a list of the Top Free Health/Fitness Apps for Android!!
