The most expensive gift I ever gave someone was to my mother. She lost her job and her and my father were struggling to make ends meat and falling behind on there bills and there car was in real bad shape. Me and my husband are not rich by any means, in fact some weeks we are lucky to buy groceries, but when it comes to family you need to step up. Well anyway we had three cars, and I decided we didnt need that third one, which wasnt in great shape, but it was worth alot as parts. So we sold it, used the money to help get my parents bills back to normal and found them a more reliable car and bought it for them. It wasnt new or anything, but it was a great car.
Half a macbook pro…back in the day when I had a job and wasn’t 23523523$ in debt for nursing school.
I bought my husband the ipad when it came out and that was pretty much the most expensive gift.
We bought opal rings for both of our mothers one year for mothers day.
A vehicle to my son has been the most expensive gift I have ever given.
There have been two occasions for large gifts in my family. My husband and I paid for a trip to Gatlinburg, TN for my family. It was my husb, me, my son, my mother, my sister, her son, and 3 of my nephews (my mother was raising them) by the oldest sister. (my husb family isnt really in his life so my family is his really). We paid for everything, cabin, food, and fun stuff.
The 2nd thing was when I bought my mom a car. I love doing for other people. That excites me more than buying something for myself.
I bought my Mom some beautiful freshwater pearls.
