Recently we wrote about how Adam has been recently diagnosed with diabetes. You may not know, but my father has one leg amputated from diabetes with peripheral artery disease, and he’s going to have his other leg amputated in a few weeks. In other words, our family knows how serious diabetes is for each individual. The bigger issue with this disease seems to be how well it is managed. We really wanted to provide some free tools to our readers that might have other loved ones struggling with this same illness. We also have many free printables in our Family Binder as well, so make sure to check those out as well.
So far we are using diet and exercise to help manage his diabetes, and the doctor has prescribed one pill for hubby to take twice a day. We are also using essential oils and stress relief techniques, since we know that stress can elevate blood sugars as well. We switched to organic foods a few months ago, so we were already taking steps in the right direction.
As a thank you to our readers, we wanted to share this Free Printable Diabetes Blood Glucose Tracking Sheet with you. It’s a PDF in printable form below.
Blood Glucose Tracking Sheet
The tracking sheet below has blank spaces at the top for you to decide which time of day you want to check blood sugar levels. Most people don’t track more than four times per day, so we actually only put four tracking columns in the sheet. If you need more than four columns, let me know by commenting below and I will create another sheet. This has been a very helpful tool for my husband to use, and it’s also helped him figure out which foods elevate his sugars, especially his evening snack. Hopefully this will help another family as well.
