Hello Debt Free Spending fans!
We’d like to take a few moments here to go over some things with you! First, I want to make sure that everyone is aware of our Rewards program!!! Each time you visit, and click on the red ribbon (Left side of main page), you will discover different ways to earn points. These points are then redeemed for Gift Cards through Punchtab.com. This is a FREE program for you, and is a way for DFS to reward you for visiting each day! This program is TOTALLY run by PunchTab.com, and we have no control over when/how the rewards are issued.
Also, do you know that we have a coupon database on the blog? Under the “Coupons” tab on the blog, you will see “coupon database.” This is a searchable database where you can look to see what coupons are available BEFORE you go shopping. You can see “coupons” on the right in this snapshot.
Once you are in the coupon database (below) you can enter the product for which you are seeking a coupon. I saved $10 the other day just by seeing if their were coupons available for my shopping list items!
So, the other thing we want to discuss is our disclosure policy. There are times when we post something that may contain affiliate links. Affiliate links are a way for bloggers to make an income on their blog. However, I can personally tell you that at this point, I have not received more than $80 (Entirely) in affiliate checks for my blog, and it has been running for 6 months, and I have put in 40+ hours weeks ON TOP of my full-time job. So why blog, you ask? Because it is fun. I blog for the enjoyment of finding a good deal. My son is getting older, and in the evenings, I grab my laptop and blog away while they play wii, or do other “guy” things! LOL Plus, I have always LOVED to get a good deal, and I know that others do as well.
So, feel free to read our disclosure policy HERE. However, please know that I have made less than $0.01 an hour for all my blogging. As a teacher, I could have easily tutored and made WAY more money! LOL. I have also invested into the Plug-in program that allows you to click and print from the store match-ups. So, at this point, I certainly haven’t even “broken even.” I just wanted everyone to understand that this is not some lucrative career. Now, if we somebody break 100,000 fans, that may be a different story 😉
So cool…
