Do you like movies?
Do you watch them as soon as they hit the theater?
Or do you wait until Redbox, or cable to rent them?
Well, I LOVE MOVIES and follow specific actors and talent. Whenever their projects are announced, my calendar is marked accordingly. Yes… it is my obsession.
My catalogued and databased movie collection began when I was about 13, and living abroad in Tokyo, Japan. Apart from my fascination with movies, I also enjoyed ‘visiting’ the U.S. vicariously through TV and movie screens. I was convinced that ‘Breakfast Club’ and ‘Sixteen Candles’ really depicted American High School life. Thank you, John Hughes, for keeping me current and hip back then.
That movie collection began in the 80’s and on VHS. [I was smart enough to ignore the Betamax boom.]

Eventually in the 90’s, DVDs were introduced and my collection increased as the movie quality on my tapes began to disintegrate. I have been slowly tracking down my favorite movies on DVD, to replace those VHS versions.
Next thing I know, we have a family and keeping the kid (and us) entertained during road trips was VITAL. But, taking our movies on a road trip became challenging!
So, I decided to purchase CD storage books and keep our disc in those.
As you can imagine, those books also helped to clear up SEVERAL shelves in my Movie Bookcase.
We have 2 sets of storage books: One that is PG for the kiddo, and One that is other… You know what I mean, like Blade Runner, Kill Bill etc.
Up until now, we have been toting those books on our trips, or taking a smaller version that holds 10-20 discs.
THEN, Disney Studios invited me to Burbank, California to learn about their new, cutting edge technology!
Disney Movies Anywhere is the greatest invention for anyone who loves to have their entertainment in the palm of their hands!
What is this Disney Movies Anywhere technology? Disney Movies Anywhere VP of Product Development, Eddie Drake, held an educational demonstration session for us to experience their new convenient streaming and download service – so that I could return home and tell YOU all about it.
To start us off with the service, Disney gave us all a free Digital copy of Marvel Avengers: Age of Ultron!!!
