Does your family have regular television shows that you all like to watch together? We have floated between some shows, and recently have been looking for a new one to enjoy as a family.
You can imagine my excitement when I was invited to the set of WALK THE PRANK, a brand-new kids hidden-camera prank show on Disney XD at Paramount Pictures! We arrived at the studio, on another gorgeous 80-degree day, and each issued an official badge.
Next, we headed towards our screening room to preview the pilot episode which premiered Wednesday, 4/6/16 at 8:30pm on Disney XD.
You can imagine how distracted I was by all the posters and decorations along the hallway. [yes.. I geeked out all over the hallway… it was not pretty. No photos were taken of that mess thankfully…]
We all finally settled down to watch the first episode, which introduced the main characters and several pranks. I tried my best to view the show through the eyes of my cautious daughter’s 11-year old critical mindset. We are not usually fans of pranks, especially if the target is being laughed at. This Disney XD show is different! I was very impressed to learn that the cast works with a friend of the target – who helps to set up the prank so everyone will have a good time. Nobody is hurt or made fun of. I am very excited to introduce this new family show to my daughter, and can’t wait to hear what your family thinks too!

Then, after we enjoyed the pilot episode, we walked over to the actual studio where an episode was being taped. While they were staging and recording each scene (which we could not record), actors dropped by to greet us and answer questions.
Tobie Windham (Uncle Will) is the token-adult on the show – who keeps the kids in line, and also help the stunts go smoothly.
Meanwhile, the talented kids run the show with their charm and quips. They even help prime the ‘targets’ during the prank, to set the scene and create the best result.
Taking pictures on the set of the actual joke shop from the show was so cool!
