One of the mothers at my son’s Kindergarten class made these for their Thanksgiving Feast, and I just HAD to share them with you!!! The kids LOVED them! If you want to be the hit at Thanksgiving, you will want to make these cookies!
-
You will need:
1-2 bags of Double Stuffed Oreos (Depending on how many you want to make). -
1 bag of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
-
2 bags of candy corn (depending on the size of the bag)
-
1 bag of malted milk balls
-
White frosting (The kind with the tip already on makes it much eaiser)
-
Chocolate frosting if you want the “glue” of this project to match the dark oreos. I noticed in the photo above, they used white frosting, so it’s up to you!
-
Orange Frosting (either pre-bought OR mix orange/yellow food coloring with white frosting)
Directions:
1. Use a sharp knife to take a small amount of one side off your peanut butter cups. Use white/chocolate frosting to secure the peanut butter cup to the oreo (This is to make the bottom).
2. Gently pull the oreo cookies slightly apart and stuff with a small amount of white frosting (Enough that 5 candy corns will fit to make the feathers).
3. Once you have both sides ready, add frosting to either the back of the Peanut Butter Cup or the side of the Oreo (with feathers), and place the two together.
4. Cut the tip off one piece of candy corn to make the nose. Secure this to the face with frosting. Use the malted milk ball for the head, and secure it with frosting also.
5. Use a small amount of white frosting for the eyes, and dab a small amount of dark food coloring on a toothpick to make center part of eye. Or, you can use a small amount of chocolate frosting.
6. Use the orange frosting to make the feet as shown above!
