Parents and Teachers: Need a helpful website to send your kiddos to?
Each week, we will share three of our favs.
Can’t wait to hear what you think.
CurrClick is a wonderful website to find any kind of material, worksheets, etc. Some are priced, some are free. Membership is free.
At this time, there is a free art bundle (or individual) set of amazing doodles. Dan’s Doodles is great for kiddos of all ages or yourself. You can print out these black/white pictures and color them in. I find them very relaxing. Sometimes I’ll even pin them up. Coloring is a low-stress activity that allows an individual to unlock their creative potential. More importantly, it helps relieve tension and pent-up anxiety because it can unlock memories of childhood and simpler times. As psychologist Antoni Martínez explains in The Huffington Post, “I recommend it as a relaxation technique. We can use it to enter a more creative, freer state. I recommend it in a quiet environment, even with chill music. Let the color and the lines flow.”
Have you ever considered Homeschooling? Crossing Over to Homeschooling is a vast and detailed resource for information to see if Homeschooling would work for your family.
If you already homeschool, you can find organizational tools, support groups and a plethora of other helpful information.
We LOVE FunBrain. This multi-subject site is organized by grade and subject. Kiddos can manage the page themselves, or you can sit with them and guide (or assign) activities. There are short spurts of activities to help strengthen all skills. I especially appreciate the ‘Teachers’ and ‘Parents’ page for extra advice.
What websites do you use?
We’d love to hear about them in the comments below, and share with other families. Have a wonderful weekend
