Parents and Teachers: For many of us, school and the Fall routine has started falling into place. Hope your school year is a success.
In the meantime, need a website to send your kiddos to?
Each Friday, we will share three of our favorite FREE sites.
Can’t wait to hear what you think of our collection.
Many times that I am looking for a worksheets in a variety of subjects, I use Worksheet Works.com: http://www.worksheetworks.com/
At this site, I can customize and create exactly what I need for my daughter. This year, her teacher assigns 5 works at the start of the week. She is responsible for learning the proper spelling, meaning and use of these words. So, I plan to create a worksheet for her to practice. After she learns these words, they become ‘no excuse words’ and she is required to know them for all her subjects.
AAA Math is a wonderfully organized math resource site. http://www.aaamath.com/
All the information is broken down by Grade and Subject. Easy to find, easy to use. My kind of resource!
Have you ever made a lapbook? Until we started homeschooling, I HAD NEVER EVEN HEARD OF ONE!
Basically you and your kiddo create folders focusing on any topic you like. You can use any material, as well as adjust the level of work. For example, more writing for older kiddos. Or more drawing for those who love to draw.
This week, I’d like to introduce you to the ultimate Skeletal System lapbook at http://www.cyncesplace.com/Journal/anatomy-lapbook-skeletal-system/
BONUS: this website also includes several other wonderful topics for you!
What websites do you use?
We’d love to hear about them in the comments below, and share with other families. Have a wonderful weekend.
