The article found HERE and titled “J.C. Penney’s Sales Plummet: How Couponing Moms Cost The Store $55 Million“ was released on the Huffington Post and from the first sentence put the blame of SIGNIFICANT losses for J.C. Penney’s first 3 months of the year on COUPONERS. Making statements like:
“Coupons were a drug,” said the CEO on Tuesday evening at a conference with analysts.
“We did not realize how deep some of the customers were into this,” noted COO Michael Kramer about couponing. “We’ve got to wean them off this and educate our consumers.”
Obviously, we would like to hear your take on this. After reading this article how do you feel? Do you or have you shopped at J.C. Penney since they made their changes?

Not only will I not shop there because of no more coupons, sales and deals, I won’t shop there because their store is a MESS. I went on their special Friday to buy childrens clothes. I went to the little girl 4-6 “sale” section and the ENTIRE SHELVING (BOTH SIDES) WERE ONLY SIZES 14-16. Frustrated, I went to the little boy section and AGAIN-NOT ONE CORRECT SIZE WAS IN THAT DEPARTMENT. I’m not going to spend six hours looking for childrens clothes in appliances????
