Missi made these ADORABLE Hello Kitty Cake Pops with her daughters the other week, and we just had to blog about them! These are fun and can be used for so many occasions for any Hello Kitty fan!!
Ingredients:
Cake Mix or Recipe of your choice
Can frosting or Recipe of your choice
White chocolate chips
Melting chocolate- white/ vanilla
Dots Candy- yellow
Red candy hearts found in the cake decorating isle
Black edible drawing pen
Candy sticks
Foam block or cake pop holder
Directions:
Bake a sheet cake according to directions. Once cooled, crumble into little pieces
Add a few tablespoons of frosting to the crumbled cake to make a moist dough like substance. Should be wet enough to be manageable but not too heavy.
Roll into cake pop balls. The size is up to you, but usually about 2in. Place on wax paper and put in the freezer for about 5 mins. Long enough to get firm
Place candy melts into a microwaveable bowl for 30 second increments, stirring in between. Make sure you do not overheat. Dip the candy sticks into the melted chocolate and into the bottom center of your cake pop. Do this to all of them and place back into the freezer. This hardens the chocolate and secures the cake pop to the stick.
Once they have hardened they are ready to secure the ears. Take a white chocolate chip and put a dab of melted chocolate on the flat side and place on top of the “head” of the cake pop. Do this twice so you end up with 2 “ears”. Repeat so that all of your pops have ears. Place back in the freezer to harden.
Remelt the melting chocolate and remove pops from freezer. Dip the whole pop in the melted chocolate shaking off any access carefully. Be sure chocolate is smooth as much as you can, but they don’t have to be perfect. Repeat with off of them. Place in the freezer once again. Wait about 20 mins to be sure the chocolate is hard.
Remove from the freezer and get ready to give your kitty a face. Using 2 heart candies, form into a bow under the R ear. If you can think of something else that might work better go for it. It’s great to be creative! Secure with a dab of melted chocolate. Using a yellow dot candy place the nose in the middle. Last but not least draw the eyes and whiskers with the edible pen.
Make sure you have fun with it!

My little niece would love these Hello Kitty Cake Pops — she absolutely adores anything that has to do with “Hello Kitty” and she would flip if I made these for her! Thanks for such a great post!
