I have been wanting to make Homemade Lip Balm with my Young Living Essential Oils. I am always looking for ways to make items I need at home for less. Whether I am making my own deodorant, hand sanitizer, or moisturizer, I just love making homemade items. Not only do I use these for my own family, these make great teacher, bus driver, or tutor gifts. Check out all of our essential oil homemade item posts.
I purchased my containers at a big box store in the travel section for 2/$1.00, which made them only $0.50 each. I purchase my beeswax in pellet form from Amazon. If you have ever had to grate beeswax, you’ll know why I purchase it in this form. I buy organic coconut oil from my local grocer, but you can also buy it on Amazon or from Vitacost (Find out how to get $10 free). I also purchased my Vitamin E oil locally as well. This recipe is so easy to make, but make sure to use an extra Tbs. of beeswax if you plan to purchase these stick lip balm containers.
How to Make Homemade Lip Balm
Ingredients:
- 1/2 C coconut oil

Directions:
- Melt down the coconut oil and beeswax in a double boiler, or as shown in the picture above with a glass measuring cup and sauce pan.
- Add essential oil and Vitamin E oil.
- Place in the refrigerator for a quicker set up time.
- Make sure not to get any oil in your eyes.
