Upromise – A GREAT Way to Save for College!
For those of you that have been with the blog for awhile, you know we started out with a TON of great finance advice. I’d like to start getting back to some of that, and we haven’t discussed much about saving for your child’s college fund. If you haven’t heard of UPromise, it is a GREAT way to start saving for your child’s college! You can link your store loyalty cards, credit cards, etc., and you get a certain amount of cash back on purchases! This can also be linked to your 529 account, which goes towards college credit.
You can also add grandparent’s store cards! There are coupons you can “clip” and then when you go into a store, the money you saved goes into an account for your child. It’s sort of like ShopAtHome.com, but you don’t get the cash back, it goes into a savings account instead! In fact, once you sign up through the link above, you can go to ShopAtHome.com, and search for UPromise store and look for coupons! Either way, you maximize your savings for your child while you shop! While I haven’t earned a ton of money (around $100), this is STILL money for his college fund I wouldn’t have had otherwise!
