We were introduced to Young Living Essential Oils exactly one year ago this month, and we are totally in love with the products. We help over 280 families each month on their oily journey, and one of my goals is to show families how they can actually make money with Young Living Essential Oils when they sign-up for the Essential Rewards program. This is an auto-ship program where our wholesale members sign-up to receive points for their monthly orders and also gain reduced shipping fees. Many people don’t realize that they will actually make money when they do this putting more green back in your wallet. I’m going to show you how to actually save so much money using Young Living products that you will actually be saving or “making” money back on your orders.
To sign-up for ER, you would have already purchased your Premium Starter Kit. When you join the ER program, you are basically agreeing to spend a minimum of 50PV each month for the benefits of the program (points for products and cheaper shipping). Not every item is point for dollar, so I’m going to show you how to maximize your savings so you can actually save money and replace everyday products in your home. These are the orders I used each month to replace items, and I’m showing you the cost savings over several months.
Please remember that your original wholesale kit can be used to make the following products already (saving you money just from the kit alone). I very rarely have drugstore purchases anymore, and utilize all of my essential in my home to maximize my savings.
Lavender, Lemon, & Peppermint Balm
DIY Thieves Cleaner– This is what I also use for air freshener. Just add a small amount of witch hazel to the bottle to top it off when you are using it for air freshener purposes!
How to Make Your Own Diffuser Necklace
Order #1:
Thieves Household Cleaner, $22.00 (14.4 oz bottle). Most cleaning applications include one part cleaner and one part water, and the glass cleaner formula is only 50 to 1! I immediately replaced all of my cleaning supplies with this cleaner, including glass cleaner, any Lysol disinfectant products, bathroom cleaners, etc. The only cleaners I do not use this for are my dish soap and laundry soap. Everything else in my house is cleaned with Thieves cleaner.
What I was spending before:
$3.96 every two weeks on Scrubbing Bubbles flushable toilet bowl cleaner.
$2.96 every three months on Clorox All-purpose cleaner.
$4.05 on Lysol every two months.
$2.75 on Windex every two months.
$4.00 twice a year on Mop & Glo or another floor cleaner.
These are just a FEW of the cleaners I used in my home with toxic chemicals, and my total was $143.39 per year for these expenses. Right now, I am going through 2 Thieves Cleaners every six months. This means that in the course of a year, I would save $55 in cleaning expenses per year to use non-toxic cleaners in my home That is a win-win for me!
Thieves Dental Floss (3 ct.), $8.75. The properties of Thieves are so beneficial, especially when used orally. Young Living has an entire line of Thieves dental care products, and now you have equally replaced the same exact amount you would have been spending on floss anyways. In fact, some floss packages are over $3.00 each at my local drugstore, so you would be saving somewhere between $0.50-$1.00 on every package.
Thieves Dentranome Ultra Toothpaste (4.1oz.), $8.75. While this is more expensive than store bought toothpaste, if you include it in your first order, it should last you several months, and you’ve immediately replaced a household expense.
Thieves Dish Soap, $13.75. While this is more expensive than store bought products, the money we saved with your Thieves household cleaner more than compensates for this product, and now you don’t have this expense at the store anymore. Plus, it is another non-toxic cleaner!
Order #2
Thieves Laundry Soap, (32oz.), $28.75. This is our secret weapon in saving money, because this should provide you with 64 loads on a regular machine. However, we already use way too much soap in our washing machines, and HE machines use even less, so this should last you at least one month, and in our family it lasts us about two months (this was just released in July, so this is based on our usage thus far). You have now replaced another household item with a non-toxic cleaner.
Thieves Dish Soap, $13.75. Same as last month, but you will find that you don’t need as much of this product either, so you may not need this on every order. I’m just being conservative!
YL Lavender Lip Balm, $4.00. I…love…this….product! That’s all I have to say about that.
Again, you’ve now replaced another chemical in your home, and a beauty care product. You will not miss the old products.
Order #3
Copaiba Vanilla Shampoo (295 ml) $22.75 or Lavender Mint Shampoo (295ml), $19.75. Your skin is your largest organ, and think of all the synthetic chemicals that touch your body when you shower. This shampoo should last you for 2-3 months, so you are again replacing another product with a healthy alternative. There are conditioners in these same scents as well.
Lotion, Bath & Shower Gels- YL has several bath & shower gels in addition to Lavender Hand & Body Lotion, Sensation Hand & Body Lotion, and Genesis Hand & Body Lotion. These all range between $18-$22, and are a perfect replacement for synthetic products that contain artificial perfumes that you buy in the stores. My favorite is lavender, but Sensation is awesome for times of intimacy as well (preferably used on the stomach/inner thigh areas).
Product #3: This could be an optional product such as one of the bar soaps or deodorants (all range in price from $10-12, or an Lemon, Lime, or Orange Essential oil (I use all of these to clean as well, and I also use them in my water and other drinks). You may also need to replace a Thieves dish soap, but I suspect that you may not after purchasing it for two months in Orders #1 and #2.
For order #4, I will give you a variety of choices, and many that I have made since I started my Essential Rewards program. In less than a year, I have earned 140 points, and I have only spent about 50 of those points on other products. So, currently I have 87 points in my account, which I will use to purchase all laundry detergent which should last me six months. However, each person prefers their own unique personal care and household products, so I want to give you choices for your next several orders in addition to replenishing any stock that you might need. You will probably already have your “want” list by now, and I am including some of my favorites, and these don’t even include essential oils! Please comment your favorites below!
AromaGuard Meadow Mist or AromaGuard Mountain MintDeodorant (1.5oz.), $11.00.
Bar Soaps, (many scents), $10.25 each
Stress Away Roll-on (I have used this almost every day of my life since I purchased it the first time), $28.75.
Thieves Waterless Hand Purifier (3pk.), $13.75
Thieves Foaming Hand Soap, $13.00
Thieves Fruit & Veggie Combo Pack (washes), $24.75
Life 5 (Probiotic- I take this every day as well), $26.75
There are several Age Based Nutrition supplements as well, for kids, women, men, and seniors.
