Weight management is something that has been an ongoing struggle my entire life. My mom has had gastric bypass, and obesity runs in my family. It wasn’t until I started living a healthy lifestyle with Young Living that I started heavily looking at my weight, eating, and nutrition. Before my son was born in 2017, I also gained over fifty pounds of pregnancy weight. I have now lost all of that weight, and did through the use of my Young Living Essential Oils and supplements. These also completely intertwine with our 9 Pillars of Wellness.
7 Ways to Help Manage Your Weight Naturally with Essential Oils
Now I know it would easier to simply take a “magic pill” so that the pounds would shed more quickly, but since this is not reality, there are some ways to help manage your weight naturally with essential oils. Here are 7 tools to help you lose weight and keep it off.
- Keep hydrated. One of the best ways to help you feel fuller and speed up your metabolism is by using one of the Vitality oils in water everyday. Try putting a few drops of lemon, lime, grapefruit, or citrus fresh in a water bottle and sip on it throughout the day.
- Get moving. Everyone knows that when you add an exercise regimen to a healthy diet, weight management is much easier. If it is motivation that you are lacking, try diffusing Citrus Fresh and Peppermint oil for a little energizer boost.
- Get good sleep. With a bedtime routine in place and the use of a few essential oils, weight gain can be avoided. Get out your diffuser and add a few drops of Lavender and Cedarwood to help with a good night’s sleep.
- Destress yourself. Using Stress Away which is a combination of Lime, Cedarwood, Vanilla, Lavender, and Octoea can help you relax. Also, Vanilla essential oil can aid cravings for sweets. Go ahead and diffuse this all day or use a roll on and inhale a few times a day. I love adding it to my water, too.
- Cleanse yourself. In addition to a healthy diet and moderate exercise, use Grapefruit Vitality oil as an effective essential oil to help maintain your weight. It has cleansing agents, so try adding a few drops to your water everyday to help cleanse your system.
- Energize. When you use Cinnamon essential oil you help your bodies natural way of converting blood glucose into energy instead of storing as fat. Cravings can be reduced as well because of this process. Use Cinnamon with a carrier oli such as grapeseed oil and wear it topically on your wrists. Or use it in your diffuser and it will also make your home smell amazing.
- Slique Essence. This essential oil blend of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, spearmint, and ocotea with a stevia extract is a super blend that will help aid in all of your healthy weight management plans. All of the items in the Slique line help to control cravings and assists in also controlling your cravings.
