As LeapFrog Mom Ambassador, I receive products and educational materials in return for my honest review of the products. #LeapFrogMom
We recently told you about how we were chosen to be a LeapFrog Ambassador, and I am over the moon. I have actually used the old version of the Word Whammer for years, so I was super excited to try out this new version of the product.
What I love about the product is that it helps children learn over 100 words, teaches them necessary phonics skills, and teaches them letter names and sounds. The game changes to their learning needs as they move across five levels. Children twist, tap, and turn to get the Word Whammer to respond.
So many times parents don’t realize that most children do know most of their letters and sounds before Kindergarten. Pre-school is much more common in today’s society. I live in a large farming community, and while it is rural, we also have sections of “town” where students come from low socio-economic backgrounds and need early intervention. Many times there are students who do not receive the early reading skills that they need, and these types of products are wonderful. I have been recommending LeapFrog products for many years to my parents as a supplement to my instruction.
