Last week, I attended an exclusive Mom-Blogger Press Event! We were treated to several different movie and television show premieres with Disney, Pixar, and the ABC Television Network “Click here to: Join us on a trip to San Francisco with Disney, Pixar and ABC March 27-29”. I am so excited to share all of my stories from the trip! In this installment of our CARS 3 BLOGGER EVENT series, you will be introduced to the ultimate toy-competition hosted by Modern Family’s witty Eric Stonestreet. THE TOY BOX is where: Innovative Toys + Hilarious Kid Commentary = entertainment for all ages.
THE TOY BOX premiered Friday night on the ABC Television Network. Each week, five passionate amateur inventors who have put their hearts and souls into their unique toy concepts, present their toy in the hopes of impressing the mentors and surviving to the end of the episode.
What happens each week?
Each week a group of toy inventors introduce their creation to a panel of Professional Mentors. Three inventors are then selected to continue onto THE TOY BOX, where young, no-nonsense judges determine if they will earn the chance to compete for the grand prize at the end of the season.
Meet the Host
Eric Stonestreet cleverly greets each amateur inventor, and guides them through the process. His quick and smart quips help the contestant relax before they head into the first room, to meet the three preliminary gate-keepers.
Who are the Mentors?
In each episode, Dylan’s Candy Bar owner Dylan Lauren, toy guru Jim Silver and Pixar Creative Director of Consumer Products Jen Tan all offer constructive criticism and comments to the Inventors. The three of them determine whether or not to send each innovative toy onto the next stage of the competition.

My daughter and I had the opportunity to view an advanced screening of tonight’s premiere episode. In episode 101, the Mentors choose between several unique toys such: the “Arya Ball”, a “Wacky Worm Racing Game”, the multicultural “Niya Doll”, the “Party Cannon” and a ” Swurfer” backyard swing. My 12-year old daughter and I followed along with the Mentors and discussed all the exciting aspects of the toy, as well as the safety and versatility factors. We tried to guess whether the Mentors would agree with us, or favor another creation.
Would you cheer for the “Wacky Worm” or the “Party Cannon”?
Which toy invention will be Kid-tested and Kid-approved by the highly knowledgeable and toy-aficionado Judges?!
