My son and husband have been obsessed with the Minecraft video game for the last several months! Of course, when I asked my son what theme he wanted for his birthday, I knew before he even told me that it would be Minecraft! After much searching at local party supply stores, and even online, I could find very little Minecraft birthday party supplies! So, I went on an internet search to find out how to make my own! The Cupcake Stand had all of these ideas, and I’m so grateful, because there were some great FREE printables she found on The Party Animal that I used to make the cupcakes!
The first thing I did was go to Party City to see what I could find, and of course, I found very little that I didn’t have to make! However, I was able to get the colorful candies above to make the different gems. I also made the TNT from Twizzlers, and Rolo’s make a really cute gold block!
We also printed out these Creeper cupcake toppers and taped them to these Crayola juices!
Hubby spray painted a template onto each of the cups and the plates below (from the Dollar Tree) to make the banner!
We also made these Marshmallow Creeper Pops as described on The Cupcake Stand. However, we used cake decorators icing for our faces, which dropped, so I think keeping them on their side and using melted chocolate does work better!
I only made 12 cupcakes, so I had cake batter left over. We used this to make this TNT cake and then just added black cake decorator icing. We placed sparklers in the cake at the party. This was a real hit with kiddos!
