I grew up with the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, and adored many of their characters. As a kid, I never missed an episode!
Then as an adult, I was very skeptical when my beloved Mr. Peabody and Sherman became a movie in 2014… but… I LOVED IT. My highly-critical 10-year old daughter, LOVED IT TOO! The cast and story were wonderful!
Now, the world’s smartest dog and his boy are back on October 9 with DreamWorks Animation’s The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show exclusively on Netflix. Check out this new clip available JUST for you, to get a little taste of what’s to come with next week’s premiere!
In this clip, there is a beard thief on the loose, and his name be Bumblebeard! Beware the man whose muscles have muscles – and teeth have hair!

Show Summary
DreamWorks Animation Television has developed the all-new original series—THE MR. PEABODY & SHERMAN SHOW—starring Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, Rick & Morty) as Mr. Peabody and Max Charles (The Amazing Spider-Man, The Strain) as Sherman.
Debuting exclusively on Netflix October 9, THE MR. PEABODY & SHERMAN SHOW will be turning the late night world on its head. Each episode will feature the co-hosts interviewing a menagerie of historical figures, like George Washington and Edgar Allen Poe, and bring musical guests to the stage, all while nosey neighbors continuously interfere with their own agendas.
This family-friendly modern take on the animated classic duo not only brings the characters into the 21st century, but places them in a setting similar to the after-midnight talk shows of the 60s. There are pieces to entertain the adults, as well as the kiddos.
In every episode, expect to see Peabody’s WABAC machine transport the talk show hosts and viewers on their Time Travel Adventures to the days of history’s most prominent figures. As usual, those people are determined to accomplish anything but what they are actually known for! Historical figures Mr. Peabody and Sherman visit in the first several episodes include Napoleon, Cleopatra, Mozart, and Marco Polo. Peabody also uses the WABAC to bring important historical figures back to their modern day talk show set to bring history alive through hilarious segments and musical numbers.
THE MR. PEABODY & SHERMAN SHOW is DreamWorks Animation Television’s seventh show to debut, following the launch of their original prehistoric adventure DINOTRUX this past August. DreamWorks Animation Television is quickly becoming a leader in producing high-quality television series for families around the world, and utilizes the talents of its award-winning cast of characters, storytellers and artists to produce hit shows like DRAGONS: RACE TO THE EDGE, ALL HAIL KING JULIEN, and THE ADVENTURES OF PUSS IN BOOTS.
