Do you scrapbook or make crafts? Then you will LOVE the new HP MyPrintly Print Suite!! It makes all your creations quick and easy!
We were invited to attend the HP MyPrintly Print Suite at the Warwick New York Hotel in New York City! It was an exciting opportunity to experience new HP technologies and try our hand at make-and-take DIY craft projects. The Warwick NY Hotel is one of the older hotels, and is located on the corner of a busy street in mid-town Manhattan.
At the demonstration, friendly staff greeting us and introduced the product. Stations and refreshments were set up to display all they had to offer attendees. We started by utilizing the Wi-Fi and downloading their app: HP Snapshots
HP Snapshots functions like a photo booth and uses a picture on your phone, or allows you take a new photo. There are several fun frames to pick from, including optional space to write in as well as the date and location information.
Next, there were tables set up for a craft. We were making a photo magnetic clip. It was so neat! I have never made anything like that before!
I decided to make something fun for my 10-year old daughter. Recently we attended a Bug event at our local library, and she was VERY excited to hold a tarantula. I thought that would be the perfect photo to make for her. I selected my photo, and sent it to the HP printer. My spider photo printed onto specialized paper with a protected adhesive backing. You can see how the MyPrintly site is laid out below!
Then, I cut a portion of my photo, easily separated the adhesive protector sheet, and placed it on a small wooden backing piece. I applied a thin cover of glue to protect the photo. Next, I used a double-sided glue dot and stuck a clothespin to the back of the wooden piece. Lastly, a sticky magnet piece was attached, and some decorative sticker.
Tah dah! I created a personalized book mark/magnet for my 10-year old. This new technology makes crafting, scrapbooking, mementos, and other creative project a synch! What kinds of projects could you make with this? Comment below!
