I have heard my grandmother speak of Victory Gardens during the war era, and I am intruiged by the idea of having my own vegetable garden. This is one of the last major frugal adventures I have not tried. I remember years ago as a small child running through my great-grandmother’s garden. She had every plant imaginable, fruit trees, and berry bushes. I often was stuck with thorns while picking raspberries. However, the skill never carried over to my mother and I. However, my father-in-law now has a rather large sized garden, and even had chickens, so we were blessed with free brown eggs for about two years. The other night I had a couponing party at my friend Annisa’s, and she showed me her AWESOME canning project! She has been canning for the upcoming months, and I was so excited to see how beautiful it looked, and made me want to jump on the gardening/canning train right away!
So, as I’m doing my research, I’m passing along the information to you. I know absolutely, ALMOST nothing about gardening, so if you’re new to it also, you’re in luck, because we can learn together. This is DEFINITELY an open blog post, which means PLEASE SHARE in the comments or on the Facebook page!
