I was recently given a chance to review Purex’s nwe Triple Action Ultrapacks laundry detergent! ***NOTE: These will NOT be released until February 2012, as they are a new product!! As you’ve read before, I’m a Purex Crystal junkie, so I was excited to try something new! Also, hubs and I have been using the packs for the dish washer for awhile, and so we were excited to try packs for the washing machine for the first time!
We have an HE washer, so we had to make sure these could be used in both types of machines (Traditional and HE), which they were. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to use them. You just put the back in the laundry barrel first, and then add your clothes. Once the clothes were loaded, I went ahead and put in my Purex Crystals (softener). I used it first with towels, and then with clothes, and both loads came out clean and fresh! I was very pleased with the Ultrapacks!
I also really like the fact that these packs do seem more environmentally friendly that the jugs of laundry detergent! I hate to see how much plastic is in our landfills from those plastic laundry jugs!
Tips on how to use the Ultrapacks:
– Make sure your hands are dry before handling the Ultrapacks. Water dissolves the outer film, so that would be messy.
-Put the Ultrapack in the washer before any of the clothes, becuase the more time they’re in the water, the faster they dissolve.
-If you have a front loading washer, make sure to put it in the drum, not the drawer!
