Thai Turkey Burgers with Pineapple Salsa (serves 4)
Ingredients:
1 Package Butterball Turkey Burgers (this is my preference, labeled “Seasoned for Meal Lovers”)
Salt & Pepper
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
½ Cup of Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce (use more if desired)
¼ tsp. Ground Ginger
1 can Crushed Pineapple
2 tbsp. Finely Diced Red Onion
1 Tbsp. Sriracha Sauce(in Asian food aisle)
Directions:
In a shallow pan or dish pour a generous amount of Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce, tsp. Garlic Powder, and ¼ tsp. of Ground Ginger. Lay Turkey Burgers in dish and flip over to coat. Let sit for 15 – 20 minutes in the sauce. Sprinkle with salt & pepper to taste. Heat small amount of olive oil in a frying pan and cook Turkey Burgers about 5 minutes on each side or until preferred doneness. Remove and keep warm.
In the same frying pan, add the can of crushed pineapple, diced red onion, and Sriracha Sauce. Simmer until onions are a little soft and it’s heated through. Prepare burgers on whole wheat bun and top with the salsa. Amazing!
