‘Ola iā kāua – “Let’s Begin”, my hula instructor would chant at the start of our dances. With MOANA (rated PG) releasing into theaters everywhere next month (November 23rd), I cannot help but recall my fond memories of growing up in Hawa’ii.
Disney did a fabulous job, creating a REAL sense of Hawaiian culture in LILO AND STITCH (2002). Now, with MOANA, we get to revisit the island again and learn about its mythology!Click to download these fun MOANA coloring pages and activity sheets that include: bookmarks, mazes and a memory match game!

Nearly three thousand years ago, the world’s greatest sailors voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. Suddenly, for a millennium, their voyages stopped. Nobody knows why…
Now, Walt Disney Animation Studios presents: “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder.
Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”), produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted,” “One Man Band”), and featuring music by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Mancina and Opetaia Foa‘i.
MOANA arrives in theaters everywhere on November 23rd.
