We’re so excited to give you our review of Treasure Buddies! We watched this for family movie night the other night with our six-year-old son, and it was a hit! In this installment of the Buddies series, the Buddies end up becoming stow-aways on a air plane trip to Egypt where they are in search of the lost collar of Cleocatra! This episode does NOT disappoint! They meet new friends along the way, and my favorite was Babi, the monkey! I’m sorry, but any movie with a monkey just ads to the humor!
This story centers around an archeologist, Thomas Howard, and how he finds part of the lost necklace of Cleocatra in an Egyptian cave with his dog, Digger. When escaping from the collapsing cave, he and Digger survive, but he doesn’t find the other half of the necklace. Many years later, he is a museum manager, and is approached my Dr. Weillington, (who is secretly evil), to return to Egypt in search of the other half of the necklace.
Thomas’s grandson Pete goes along (Mudbud’s owner), and the buddies come along for the ride after finding out that Dr. Wellington is evil! On this trip they get into all kinds of trouble and mischief, and so as not to spoil the ending, we’ll let you with those details! Check out the trailer below!!
This Blu-Ray/DVD combo has some GREAT bonus features as well! This included an adorable rendition of “Roam” (Originally sung by the B-52’s), and the Buddies own version of MTV’s Cribs! Wait until you see Bud-Dog’s crib! He is certainly “blinged” out with some nice stuff in his crib!
